There was about 2 and a half feet of snow on the ground this morning. There were no trains to or from Tsuruga, and in fact one train got stuck at a station between here and Fukui where they had about 6 feet of snow on the ground. Therefore, I had a snow day!

They use water to clear some of the roads, but it isn't really working. Just water snow mix. Up to mid shin. Nice! Thank goodness for rubber boots.
