Marathon Days!

Went to a local marathon today.  Here are some pics of the more outlandish participants

This guy completed a full marathon basically wearing a towel over his face.  And he did it in about 3 and a half hours to boot!

By the time he got near the end, the wedding dress had drooped lower and he looked absolutely obscene!  Still got a high five from him.

Ninja!

Piero.  Make up was still going strong at mile 25.

Chipmunk (?) maid and two "school girls" in the background.

World's fastest panda.  Also, a woman!  13 miles wearing that and she is still smiling

My new house/workplace!

Well, mostly the house part.  The school is locked up right now.

The living room and dining table
The kitchen area and dining table
The awesome flat top stove
The refrigerator.  To the side the (of course) rice cooker and microwave.
The microwave is AWESOME!  It is one button.  To heat up food, put your food in and push start, it automatically determines the time until it is hot.  To heat up a drink, same thing, but there is a drink button.  You can also toast in it, but I haven't done that yet.  So far, my favorite part about the house.

the couch area in front of the HUGE TV

concrete floors = cold feet

As you can see, everything is very modern and clean.
A typical bedroom.  Oh and all the furniture is Ikea.
My favorite dorm room's deep purple accent wall.  Cool.

And....my messy room.

Third floor lounge area.

Men's toilet room.
Well, literally the toilet room.

Women's shower room.  Shh! don't tell I was in there.

Enter the door to the actual shower room.
The shower.  Note the waterfall shower above and the hose shower to the right.  You can alternate between the two or have the run simultaneously.  Nice!

One of the little things in the house that makes me smile is the pictures on the doors.

Men's shower room.

Women's shower room.

For some odd reason, the men's bathroom.  Hmmm....

And the lounge.

And now, to end on a happy note, the bad.

The bane of my existence is this electronic door lock.  You have to put your finger on it and then hold a card over it to un/lock the door.  It takes me at least 4 attempts every single time I try to either lock or unlock my door.  Grrrr!  Plus it is loud, it beeps if you mess up.  It moves loudly.  I don't know why, but I don't like it that people can hear when I lock my door.

I will take pictures of the school area the next time I am able to and show those off as well.
